The First Full Star Wars Anime Series Lands August 5
Production I.G expands The Ninth Jedi into an eight-episode series — and every episode drops at once on Disney+ and Hulu.

Star Wars: Visions Presents — The Ninth Jedi premieres this Wednesday, August 5, and it is a genuine first: a complete eight-episode Star Wars anime series, with every episode available day one on Disney+ and Hulu. The final trailer just dropped ahead of the premiere.
From short film to series
The Ninth Jedi began as many fans favorite short in the original Star Wars: Visions anthology, and got a sequel short — Child of Hope — in Volume 3. Now Production I.G (the studio behind Ghost in the Shell and Haikyu!!) is finishing what it started: Lah Kara continues her Jedi training under Margrave Juro, setting out to rescue her father while a mysterious Sith leader gathers darkness over the galaxy.
The staff list is stacked — Shunsuke Tada directs, Mitsuyasu Sakai writes, and Kenji Kamiyama, who created the original short, supervises the series.
